After checking into our condo on Whitecap Beach, I made a quick trip to Island Market Grocery—just about 3/4 of a mile away. I expected the usual tourist-trap pricing and limited selection, so I only planned to grab a few basics to get us through the night.

Went to Padre Balli Park beach with family and friends, and needed groceries for the beach to snack on.. ☺️ stopped here.I do believe the store is brand new. Very clean and polite service

They had pretty much everything we needed. Except one drink mix that they didn't carry. They clean cashew was very pleasant, very quick. Very good experience.

Nice little grocery store that has anything you could need. Its in a great location near most of the hotels and resorts on the island and much quicker than driving back over the bridge to HEB or Walmart.

This market was awesome and has great customer service (every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful!). It was a good size, and had plenty of everything that you'd need for your grocery run in stock. We came in for some ready to eat and easy to prep meal groceries while staying at the beach and I was delighted to find some of my favorite healthy brands on their shelves! My pre-packaged tuna salad and bacon chicken wrap were also delicious so I recommend that refrigerated section for quick meals on the go. We also took home some local coffee beans which was a nice find! Will be back here when I'm back on the island.

We were impressed by the selection and prices for a small island grocer. Meat prices were lower than back home and customer service was great. Support local and shop here if you need groceries while visiting.

Very nice grocer with very reasonable prices! Cashier was so friendly and personable (apologies that I didn't get his name) - his demeanor just put icing on top to make our visit to this location a wonderful experience!

Yes, it's a bit higher than HEB and doesn't have as big of a selection. But, for the convenience, I found it to be a great store! Good meat selection, produce ok, good coffee section, dry goods, can goods, frozen goods all there. I also found in the far left corner of the store by the dairy, some of the best prepared brownies I've ever had! Don't want to spend all your time away from the island, then I highly recommend this place!

Big thank you to the Island Market and thier employees. My young son left is wallet and after calling they had found it. He was so happy to get it back with gift cards and cash too. Thank you!
